PORT ST. LUCIE — Hitters might not be able to see the ghost forkball, but now they can hear it.
If the Mets are looking for a team anthem to follow the 2024 breakout hit that was “OMG,” add “Ghost Fork” to the list of possibilities that will be blasting throughout Citi Field soon.
Yusuke Kamiji, a Japanese singer and actor, has created a J-pop song that will serve as Kodai Senga’s warmup song.
“Ghost Fork” (featuring Alisa) is partly sung in Japanese and partly in English, an electronic singalong that pays tribute to Senga’s unique and best pitch.
