Ruth, who already has eliminated Mel Ott, Mariano Rivera, Mickey Mantle and Lou Gehrig, is having little trouble with Walt Frazier in the semifinals. Taylor, who has bounced Roosevelt Brown, Sam Huff, Tiki Barber and Joe Namath, is handling Mark Messier.
