According to the final Legends Mania totals from nypost.com, the Bambino defeated Lawrence Taylor in the championship matchup. In previous rounds, Ruth had defeated Mel Ott, Mariano Rivera, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig and Walt Frazier. Taylor had reached the final with victories over Roosevelt Brown, Sam Huff, Tiki Barber, Joe Namath and Mark Messier.
