A lawsuit filed against Tim Schifter, a former owner of LeSportsac, was put on hold until Aug. 9, when Schifter’s non-solicitation agreement expires, lawyers for both sides said.

In the meantime, Schifter can collect the remaining $166,000 he is owed from the deal, providing he sticks to the agreement, which prevents him from soliciting business from any of LeSportsac’s customers.

Schifter has started a new handbag company with singer Gwen Stefani.

Brand Science, an affiliate of Accessory Network, which bought LeSportsac jointly with Japan’s Itochu Group, filed the lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court.
