From green jerseys to the green room.

Oregon junior quarterback Marcus Mariota announced his eligibility for the NFL Draft on Tuesday.

The Heisman Trophy winner, combining top-tier elusiveness with an accurate throwing arm, is projected to go as high as No. 1 overall in this spring’s draft and is unlikely to fall past the quarterback-needy Jets at No. 6.

The 21-year-old’s collegiate career ended in defeat Monday when Oregon fell to Ohio State, 42-20, in the national championship game. Mariota finishes with an astounding ratio of 105 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions in three seasons for the Ducks.
