Call it the revenge of John Wallace. Call it the little deal that sank the biggest deal in NBA history.

The Post has learned Detroit and Dallas agreed last night on a package that will send Christian Laettner to the Mavericks for the recently traded ex-Knick Wallace, Cedric Ceballos and Eric Murdock.

The deal can’t be made official until next month when Wallace, shipped by the Knicks to Dallas on draft night, is permitted to be traded again.

Laettner was one of the centerpieces of the historic but now-deceased Patrick Ewing four-team blockbuster Monday that would have brought Vin Baker and Glen Rice to the Knicks and would have ended “The Big Fella’s” 15-year career in New York.
