The Mets tried to trade Kodai Senga in winter, but apparently not hard enough. Teams didn’t want to take the $28 million through 2027 due to the injury risk, wisely as it turns out. Senga, who’s on the IL with spine inflammation and a 9.00 ERA, had an iffy MRI exam upon signing, as The Post reported back then.
