Citi Field may have been rocking after the Mets’ 7-3 win over the Padres, but it wasn’t without a few stressful moments for Haley Alonso and Marci Canha.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, the wife of Mets first baseman Pete Alonso shared a few photos from the game-day atmosphere and tagged Mark Canha’s wife in a pre-at-bat moment.
“When your husband is up to bat 😅 send tequila @marcicanha,” Haley captioned the post that featured the Mets supporter covering her eyes with her cap.

Instagram/Haley AlonsoBoth Haley and Marci had much to cheer for as the 27-year-old Alonso recorded his first career postseason home run in Game 2 of the NL Wild Card Series. Padres pitcher Adrian Morejon also walked Alonso and Canha, 33, during the game.
The Mets and Padres will face off at Citi Field again on Sunday night in a must-win Game 3. The winner will advance to the NLDS to take on the Dodgers.
“This is fun baseball,” Alonso said postgame. “I’m just so excited to come to the field [Sunday]. This is what it’s for. We’re going to come ready to go.”

Both Haley and Marci will likely be present Sunday, as both have shown their support for the Mets throughout the season.
When the Mets clinched a postseason berth in September, Haley — who married Alonso last fall — commemorated the moment with a sweet tribute.
“Ready for October baseball!!!!!” Haley exclaimed in an Instagram Story at the time.

Marci has also cheered on the Mets on Twitter, posting “LFGM!” on Saturday night.
Canha signed with the Mets on a two-year deal in November 2021.
