LOS ANGELES — Phil Mickelson yesterday said he won’t be using the Ping Eye2 wedge that led a fellow player to accuse him of “cheating.”
“My point has been made,” Mickelson said on the eve of his two-time title defense at the Northern Trust Open.
Scott McCarron last week said of Mickelson and others using the club, “It’s cheating.”
Mickelson said McCarron offered him a sincere apology on Tuesday night, which he accepted.
