The lead baseball executives of the Yankees and Mets, respectively, have a lot of work to do as we inch closer to the July 31 trade deadline.

Both men owe it to their teams and fan bases to go all-in in the weeks to come.

No other contender in the sport should scare either team. The Dodgers have lost six straight games. The Astros were just swept by the struggling Guardians. The Tigers, Cubs, Phillies and Blue Jays are nice teams, but none has the appearance of a juggernaut.
