Dear Commissioner Manfred,
Though I’m not sure you were watching or that you even care, but I’d like to bring to your attention an episode in Thursday’s Game 3 of Tigers-Guardians.
In the bottom of the fourth, game tied, 1-1, Cleveland’s José Ramírez tried to steal second.
Though at first he appeared to have had a great jump, the throw from catcher Dillon Dingler was extraordinary. Shortstop Javíer Báez caught it on a low line at the tip of the bag on the first base side, thus Ramírez was left nowhere to go except to slide directly into the tag.
