After 17 years at NBC, sports anchor Len Berman could be headed to CBS, according to sources.

Since moving to CBS’s Viacom, former WNBC-TV GM Dennis Swanson has brought over a vast number of his ex-employees. Swanson thinks very highly of Berman. In 1996, Swanson signed Berman to his last NBC contract, which is believed to be a seven-year deal.

“My contract is up in the spring and that is all I can say,” Berman said.

Recently, CBS and Gary Apple parted ways. If Berman were to move to CBS, veteran Warner Wolf’s time could be limited or Wolf could retire.
