The All-Star break marks the proverbial and traditional halfway point of the season, and that means midterms.

The Nets have already used 21 players, with some having been waived, traded (Dennis Schroder, Dorian Finney-Smith) and bought out (Ben Simmons). Others they’ve brought in have essentially been sidelined since arriving.

How does one grade players? Doing it properly means weighing not just ability, but also availability. There’s also cost, in terms of both salary (value) and how they were acquired (via trade, first-round pick, undrafted, etc.).

So we grade on a curve, as follows:
