SEATTLE — While the rest of the Liberty team headed toward the bus after shootaround, Nyara Sabally stayed on the floor to work out. 

Over and over again, player development and video coordinator Brian Lankton passed Sabally the ball and directed what to shoot as they made their way around the court. She purposely banked in mid-range shots outside each side of the paint. She swished free throws and corner 3s. 

She drove to the basket for layups and knocked in turnaround shots over Lankton. 

The first bus had departed Climate Pledge Arena, but Sabally, Lankton and the team’s player development coordinators, Noah Shy and Marvin Saintolien, remained on the court for about 30 minutes longer.
