SLAMMIN’ SLEW came on for second two back while debuting with blinkers, and tired to fourth in last; both at today’s level at Monmouth. ROYAL AFFAIR Sun King colt dropped to claiming level and passed tired foes for second after moderate success at this level in previous three tries. Should be in the mix late here.

CURLINA NYRA shipper hasn’t run since 2011, when she was last seen finishing fifth in the Grade 3 Bed O Roses Handicap after finishing second in Grade 2 Vagrancy Handicap. Had four consecutive victories leading up to graded tries, and a return to anything close would best this group. Strong works for this. EMILY ALLSTAR dropped and finished fourth at Saratoga before getting claimed from 17% next-out barn. OFFICER BIG RED was wide and gave a strong effort to finish third at today’s level.

TIZNOW A TITAN dropped to today’s level and dueled on lead before tiring to third at Monmouth. HIT THE BULLS EYE flashed speed and faded in the slop to seventh while making debut. Five-furlong work since for barn that fares better at second asking. SECOND AND TEN makes third start at this level after finishing at mid-pack in both starts since debut with blinkers.
