Vincent Trocheck had been going about his business as normal despite a longtime leaguewide belief that he will no longer be a Ranger after Friday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline.

Unlike Artemi Panarin, who was told he wouldn’t play in the final three games before the Olympic break and was sent home to pack for his eventual trade to Los Angeles, Trocheck practiced and played as usual.

That was until Thursday night’s 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs. Both Trocheck and Sam Carrick were held out of the Rangers lineup for “roster management purposes.”

Carrick is being traded to Buffalo, Sportsnet first reported at the end of the night following the Rangers’ 6-2 victory. The Blueshirts will acquire Buffalo’s third-rounder and the Blackhawks’ sixth-rounder in 2026 as part of the trade, The Post confirmed.
