The Red Bulls announced their full 30-game season schedule for their first campaign in Red Bull Arena.
They’ll open the building with a 6 p.m. March 20 friendly against Pele’s former team, Santos, and play their first league tilt at 7 p.m. the next Saturday against Chicago (ESPN, ESPN Deportes).
After that they hit the road a week later and take on Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field (10:30 p.m., FSC). Between the league’s three national partners _ ESPN, Fox Soccer Channel and TeleFutura _ the Red Bulls will be on national TGV 14 times this year, including five of their first six tilts.
They’ll face future rival and expansion side Philadelphia at 4 p.m. on April 24 on TeleFutura. The league will take a two-week World Cup break from June 11-24. Other highlights include hosting archrival D.C. (7:30 p.m. Aug. 14) and hosting the Galaxy _ Landon Donovan and David Beckham? _ on Aug. 14.
