GLENVIEW, Ill. – John Riegger won the LaSalle Bank Open yesterday for his first Nationwide Tour title, holing a 20-foot birdie putt on the final hole for a 4-under 68 and a one-stroke victory over B.J. Staten.

The 43-year-old Riegger finished with a 17-under 271 total on The Glen Club course. He earned $135,000 for his first victory in 291 starts in PGA Tour-sanctioned events – 198 on the PGA Tour and 93 on the Nationwide Tour.

Staten also finished with a 68.
