Short journey as it may be, this just crossed my mind:
Imagine a teammate or an opponent watching Mets center fielder Tyrone Taylor’s full-speed, full-out diving catch Tuesday — with the Mets up 7-0, no less — then choose to jog to first because running has become optional.
We’ll get back to that, but while we recognize that it’s not rocket surgery, so many elementary failures remain mystifying. Why do we now so often know that we can do far better than the highest-paid professionals we see at work every day?
Live sports TV productions? The clueless would succeed where highly trained experts miserably fail. Lather, rinse, repeat.
