The hero of St. John’s run to the Sweet 16 is headed elsewhere for his final year of eligibility. 

Dylan Darling has entered the transfer portal, a source said. 

The source said Darling made his decision before St. John’s landed a verbal commitment from top international point guard Quinn Ellis on Tuesday.

He had big financial offers in the seven figures on the table, and the coaching staff felt it was in his best interest to take that route.
