There were no street signs awarded to the players for winning the second round. That was so dumb a year ago. Mayor Eric Adams was blamed, but apparently the Knicks organization was complicit by bankrolling the street signs.
It was like hanging bronze medals around Manhattan.
Not this year.
If James Dolan wasn’t clear enough about his expectations in his January interview, the empty spot in the Garden rafters — where Adam Silver would’ve loved to hang the NBA Cup championship banner — can be a reminder.
