The Mets are not ready to reassess their goals.

“We can go on a run,” Brandon Nimmo said Sunday when asked about the club’s NL East chances. “We’ve still got time. But it just takes putting it together, playing some good baseball.

“But, no, I don’t think the division is slipping away.”

Off on Monday, the Mets dropped six games behind the Phillies, their largest deficit of the season in a division they led as recently as Aug. 2, when Philadelphia beat Cincinnati 4-1.
