The finish to the Night of Champions main event got me thinking, as a portion of the WWE fan base grumbled over another overbooked and overpopulated conclusion to a premium live event.

It took five other superstars, plus Paul Heyman and substitute referee Charles Robinson, to bring John Cena’s final match with CM Punk to a close in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday. 

So why does it feel like we have seen these far too often in WWE under Triple H’s watch? 

Well, he may have little choice.
