Apparently nobody makes mistakes or misses shots or loses playoff games anymore. They either get calls or they don’t. Remember the rules — pass the blame to the easiest target and always, always say it’s the refs’ fault.

In Pistons-Knicks, we have, by far, the most compelling and entertaining first-round series in the Eastern Conference. Every game has been nip and tuck, decided in the fourth quarter by either heroics or collapse.

An overflow of drama.

Yet, the prevailing sentiment postgame from the losers — only the losers, mind you — is they’ve been wronged by the officials, with hints at biases and conspiracies.
