Family may have been the topic of conversation on the latest installment of Tom Brady’s podcast, but the quarterback’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, didn’t get a specific shoutout.
During Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM show, “Let’s Go!” Brady spoke about the “ebbs and flows” of life in the wake of a new Page Six report, in which the Buccaneers quarterback is said to have sparred with Bündchen, 42, over his NFL return.
“As you get older, life changes quite a bit. There’s different responsibilities that take form in your life. There’s different perspective you gain,” Brady said while reflecting on his 45th birthday last month.
“When I was 25, all I did was think about football. That was my life: It was eat, sleep, drink football because it was my profession and my career. Over time other priorities develop because you change and evolve through life and you grow in different ways. You take on these different responsibilities of family, commitment, so forth. You commit time and energy to those things.”
Tom Brady spoke about family on the latest installment of his “Let’s Go” podcast, without mention of wife Gisele Bündchen. InstagramBrady, who has been married to supermodel Bündchen since 2009, also touched upon life in the spotlight.
“There is a big camera that’s always on you. You’re living your life and you’re living your sports life, too. They’re covering sports, but they are covering your life you too. And you can’t stop your life even though sports is happening. So, even though I’m playing in my 23rd year I have a freshman in high school that is playing football, too,” Brady said of his 15-year-old son Jack, whom he co-parents with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan.
The seven-time Super Bowl champ added how son Benjamin, 12, and 9-year-old daughter Vivian — who he shares with Bündchen — are “going through life.” Brady also mentioned parents Galynn and Tom Sr. on the show.
The couple tied the knot in 2009. Instagram“I have a lot of things that are really important off-field pursuits and goals that you are trying to maximize as well. So we all have different things that are going on and I think once football season comes I really lock in on what I need to do and how I need to focus and the kind of commitment I need to make for the organization so that we can maximize our potential as a team,” Brady said.
When co-host Jim Gray asked how Brady handles being “under a microscope,” and whether or not he’s “fearful that it could spill over to the field and [his] play,” the quarterback played coy.
“You always have moments… I don’t think life is always the ultimate joy, I don’t think life is always the ultimate pain, I don’t think life is always the ultimate struggle, I don’t think life is always the ultimate happiness,” Brady said. “Your life ebbs and flows through the clouds and through the sun and through the rain and through the beautiful days and you appreciate the moments and you find joy in the little things.”
Tom Brady shares two children with Gisele Bündchen, daughter Vivian and son Benjamin. InstagramLast week, Page Six reported that Bündchen left the family compound in Tampa, Fla., for Costa Rica following a series of heated arguments over Brady’s abrupt decision to un-retire from the NFL.
The news came after Brady’s mysterious, 11-day absence from Buccaneers training camp in August. He and the team said the hiatus was pre-planned due to “personal” reasons.
When Brady did return to Tampa Bay, he chalked up his absence to having “a lot of s–t going on” — but never disclosed why he took time off.

As of Tuesday, Bündchen has not yet addressed the status of the couple’s relationship.
Over the weekend, Bündchen was spotted with the couple’s kids at the Tidal Cove Water Park in Aventura, Fla., which is located just north of Miami.
Brady’s 23rd NFL season officially kicks off on Sunday, when the Buccaneers visit the Cowboys in primetime.
