TAMPA — UConn freshman Sarah Strong doesn’t say a lot when a microphone is put in her face. But her game speaks volumes. 

Even when Kevin Durant was watching Sunday’s national championship game, he could hardly grasp how talented Strong already is. 

“Sarah Strong, my goodness, how did u (sic) get so good so early???” the two-time NBA champion posted on X. 

At only 19, Strong already showed flashes of elite potential as she played a pivotal role in UConn’s run to its first national championship in nine years and 12th overall.
