Zenit St. Petersburg steamrolled over German giants Bayern Munich, 4-0, in their UEFA Cup semifinal second-leg match in St. Petersburg tday to earn a place in the final.

Two goals from Pavel Pogrebnyak, and one from both Konstantin Zyrianov and Victor Faizulin gave the Russians an amazing 5-1 aggregate victory over the legendary German club.

Pogrebnyak opened the scoring for Zenit in the fourth minute with a free-kick that went through the wall and past goalkeeper Oliver Kahn.

The second goal came in the 39th minute after a decent break from the hosts, with Konstantin Zyrianov shooting across Kahn to make it 2-0.

Victor Faizulin scored the third goal for Zenit in the second half, before Pavel Pogrebnyak sealed the emphatic win with a fourth strike.

Zenit now play the winner of the Glasgow Rangers-Fiorentina match, which will be played later today, in the UEFA Cup final.
