An annual rite of October for Giants and Jets fans in recent years is turning the page from weekly defeats to the next NFL Draft class.

The process has even more significance this year because both teams have two first-round picks in the 2022 draft. The Giants (1-5) currently hold picks No. 5 and No. 16 (courtesy of a trade with the Bears, who moved up in 2021 to draft Justin Fields) and the Jets (1-4) hold picks No. 6 and No. 10 (courtesy of a trade with the Seahawks, who acquired Jamal Adams).
