The topic: What is FanDuel’s approach toward sports media?

We had started looking into this before Pat McAfee’s announcement of his four-year contract with FanDuel that is for around $120 million and includes an opt-out for McAfee after the third year. We have been writing about legalized gambling’s impact on sports media, so we wanted to go into detail about what FanDuel is doing.

CMO AMA: Prior to the McAfee deal, for this edition of the newsletter, we had talked to FanDuel’s chief marketing office, Mike Raffensperger, about the sports gambling platform’s media strategy. In the emerging United States sports betting category, FanDuel leads with around 40 percent of the market share. FanDuel is set to debut in New York soon, though no date has been announced.
