Well, not here, as in Northern California, but here, as in the Super Bowl. Not Super Bowl LX: The Seahawks and Patriots each earned the right to participate in this game Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, and the Giants did not come remotely close to gaining admittance.

The goal is to get to Super Bowl LXI, which will be played Feb. 14, 2027, in the same state as this year’s Super Bowl, but further south, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Every NFL team will want to keep their 2027 Valentine’s Day open for a special encounter that cannot be planned on a dating app and must be achieved through sustained success.

Throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the Giants felt as far away from any of this as they could be while struggling to find a way to win a single game each month. The NFL regular season is a four-month endurance test, and the Giants have endured relentless losing. In 34 weeks the past two seasons, they lost 27 times.
