WWE’s historic partnership with TNA is good business for both companies and yet another potential weapon in the war against AEW.
The multiyear talent-sharing agreement between the two companies sounds more specifically between NXT and TNA outside select WWE Premium Live Events — think Royal Rumble at minimum. It solidifies the previously loose relationship between the companies that has already benefited NXT’s ratings and TNA’s ticket sales.
The union makes a few things clear and could have a massive impact on the pro wrestling landscape.
One, WWE doesn’t see TNA as a threat — much like it didn’t see ECW as one when Vince McMahon was financially helping Paul Heyman keep the business afloat during the 1990s.
