Zack Britton is still recovering from elbow surgery that will likely keep him out for much – if not all – of 2022.
“My goal is to play at some point toward the end of this season and hopefully into the playoffs,” Britton wrote this week in an email to The Post. “Obviously, there is a lot of time between now and then, but that is the ultimate goal.”
The left-hander said his rehab is going “smoothly” and he expects to start a throwing program in the next few weeks with the hope of returning during the 2022 regular season.
