MLB: Braves deal for Vazquez

The Braves and White Sox reached a tentative agreement yesterday that would send pitcher Javier Vazquez to Atlanta, two people familiar with the deal said.

NCAA: Cincy coach commits

Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly acknowledged that other schools had expressed an interest, but said he’s not leaving.

* South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier Questioned whether new Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin, broke NCAA recruiting rules by contacting Volunteers recruits before he was cleared to do so.

NBA: T-Mac out three weeks

Houston guard Tracy McGrady will miss three weeks to rehabilitate his sore left knee, another blow to an injury-plagued season for the Rockets. McGrady had arthroscopic surgery on May 6, but said yesterday that doctors have told him that the knee is not healed.
