Carson Puriefoy scored 17 points and Stony Brook won its sixth straight, defeating visiting Albany 75-70 in each team’s regular-season finale yesterday.

The Seawolves (23-6, 14-2 America East Conference) matched their best record in America East play and will face eighth-seeded Binghamton Saturday in the AES tourney.

Albany (21-10, 9-7) will be the No. 4 seed and will face Maine.

Mich. 58, Mich. St. 57

Trey Burke stole the ball from Keith Appling near midcourt and went in alone for a dunk with 22 seconds remaining, then made another steal in the final seconds to lift No. 4 Michigan (24-5, 11-5 Big Ten) past No. 9 Michigan State (22-7, 11-5).The Michigan State loss clinches at least a share of the Big Ten title for Indiana.

Iona 80, Siena 61

Lamont Jones scored 16 points as Iona (17-13, 11-7 MAAC) clinched the No. 4 seed for this weekend’s MAAC tourney with a victory over visiting Siena (7-23, 4-14).

Loyola 63, Manhattan 61

In Baltimore, Rhamel Brown had 14 points for the Jaspers (12-17, 9-9), who will be the sixth seed at this week’s MAAC tourney.

Erik Etherly led Loyola (21-10, 12-6) with 30 points.
