SARATOGA SPRINGS — After heavy rains hit Saratoga Race Course after Monday’s second race, the remaining races (4, 6, 7, and 9) were taken off the grass and switched to the main track, listed as sloppy.
Post times were moved up in anticipation of more storms. The crowd of 7,838 was the lowest attendance in recent memory.
In addition, the simulcast signal was lost due to the storm, but wagering was still available on all tracks provided.
Because there was a service change after the Pick 4 wager started, the 4th race was an “all” on Pick 4 tickets. The Pick 6 was not affected due to its starting after the races having been taken off the turf.
