The New Orleans Times Picayune reports former Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey, now with the Saints, will have sports hernia surgery and be out 3-6 weeks.

Shockey, traded in July, was troubled by the injury for weeks then aggravated it in Sunday’s game at Denver.
