Tournament officials for the Sybase Classic announced that 80 of the LPGA’s top 100 golfers have committed to play in this year’s event, which takes place from May 17-23 at Westchester’s Wykagyl Country Club.
Se Ri Pak, Grace Park, Laura Diaz, Rachel Teske, Beth Daniel, Mi-Hyun Kim, Natalie Gulbis and defending champion Hee-Won Han will be in the field. Naree Song, the twin sister of Aree Song, and Nanette Hill, a 14-year-old junior at Pelham High School and three-time defending NYSGA Junior Girls Amateur champion, have been given sponsor’s exemptions.
Tickets may be purchased by calling (800) 444-PPGA or by signing on to http://www.sybaseclassic.com. A one-day grounds pass costs $15, a daily clubhouse pass is $20, a weekly grounds badge is $30, and a weekly clubhouse badge is $60. Monday through Wednesday practice rounds are free.
