Braves first baseman Mark Teixeira has been traded to the Angels for first baseman Casey Kotchman and Class AA right-hander Stephen Marek.

The Angels, who own the best record in baseball, head to Yankee Stadium for the start of a four-game series with the Bombers on Thursday.
