Coco Gauff welled up with tears early in her second-round 7-6(5), 6-2 win over Donna Vekić on Thursday night under the Arthur Ashe Stadium lights.
After double faulting to concede her service at 4-4 in the first set, cameras caught Gauff getting teary-eyed during the changeover.

Gauff’s serve has been a hot top of conversation at this year’s tournament, after she hired a new coach in Gavin MacMillan just days before it started.
