Jessica Pegula likely set herself up for a chance at redemption.
The No. 4-ranked American star breezed past Barbora Krejcikova, 6-3, 6-3 in the U.S. Open quarterfinals Tuesday afternoon at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Pegula will next face the winner of the Aryna Sabalenka-Marketa Vondrousova match later on Tuesday. The No. 1-ranked Sabalenka is heavily favored.

Now, Pegula is likely to get another crack at getting past Sabalenka.

Pegula, the daughter of Bills owner Terry, has largely dominated her way to the semifinals and is yet to drop a single set. Tuesday’s match lasted just 1:26 before Pegula dispatched Krejcikova.
