In typical fashion, both men have dominated the tournament in a collision course to their Sunday showdown.

Alcaraz has not lost a set during the 2025 US Open, while Sinner has dropped just two.

The US Open was forced to cut the price of its signature "Honey Deuce" cocktail after vendors ran out of the drink's iconic collectable cup.

Instead of $23, the drink now costs $21 and comes in a disposable plastic cup.

And some bartenders say sales of the vodka and lemonade drink have been declining since the cups ran out.

“Some people come here just for the glass,” said one bartender, whose line was nearly non-existent.

Novak Djokovic has immovable Gen Z objects blocking return to tennis’ peak

By Larry Brooks

The guard had changed well before Carlos Alcaraz took Novak Djokovic to the woodshed at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Friday with a 6-4, 7-6 (4), 6-2 straight sets semifinal victory in which romance and drama both played second racquet to reality.

At age 38, Djokovic is the third-best player in the world after advancing to the semifinals in all four Grand Slams this year. There probably isn’t a fourth that would be in his league. His results this year have bolstered a résumé that glitters in gold.

The problem: Djokovic did not win even a single set in any — and all — of these final fours. He retired with a leg issue after dropping a first-set tiebreak to Alexander Zverev at Australia before he was wiped out by Jannik Sinner at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon and then by Alcaraz here at Flushing Meadows.

Iga Swiatek has testy exchange with reporter

By Mollie Walker

After falling short of what would’ve been her fourth straight Grand Slam semifinal this season on Wednesday, Iga Swiatek fielded more questions about her opponent, Amanda Anisimova, than herself.

Swiatek destroyed Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 to capture her first Wimbledon title earlier this summer, so, naturally, many wanted to hear how she saw the American piece together a convincing 6-4, 6-3 victory inside Arthur Ashe Stadium at the U.S. Open less than two months later.

When asked how tired she is at the moment, Swiatek looked particularly irritated.
