By the end of the night, the women’s singles final at the US Open will be set, and it could include two Americans.

Emma Navarro and Jessica Pegula are set to play in separate semifinals tonight, in which a win would send them on to the finals.

Navarro, ranked 13, will face No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka, who has never won a US Open as a singles player (but won the doubles title in 2019). No. 6 Pegula is set to face Karolína Muchová, who entered the US Open unseeded.

To reach this point, Pegula had to best No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinal, while Navarro made it into the quarterfinal by beating defending champion Coco Gauff, then bested Paula Badosa in straight sets to win her quarterfinal match.

Tonight, both semifinals will be played back to back and aired live on ESPN and ESPN+.

The US Open Women’s Semifinals will be played tonight, September 5. Navarro-Sabalenka is scheduled first at 7:00 p.m. ET. Pegula-Muchová will take the court following the conclusion of the first match.

Tonight’s US Open semifinals will air on ESPN. If you have cable, you’ll simply have to tune into ESPN at 7:00 p.m. to watch.
