As much of a millstone as the A-Rod contract sometimes seems, seeing Jorge Posada going back to the DL is a reminder that the Yankees’ decision to lavish both he and Mariano Rivera with those fat thanks-for-the-memories contracts last year might be equally damaging, given the fact both will be on the wrong side of 40 by the time those deals are over. And serves, as always, as what will be an ever-present story line for now and for the next two years: how, exactly, do the Yankees deal with Derek Jeter when his contract is up at the end of next year? You think the A-Rod story has been done to death well … just wait.

I really wish this CrosbyOvechkinseries could be a best-of-21.
