Transit Tech yesterday pulled off the biggest upset of the young PSAL boys hoop season, shocking perennial power Robeson 58-54 at Tech.

William Smith (19 points) hit a 3-pointer with 1:00 to go to tie the score at 54-54, and Corey McFarlane (8 points, 9 assists, 8 boards) hit four free throws down the stretch to give Tech (6-2, 4-0 PSAL) the win.

Robeson (5-1, 2-1) played without ineligible point guard Gary Ervin, but 6-foot-8 star Shakiem Mitchell made his debut. It wasn’t enough, as Jamel Lazare led Tech with 20 points.
