“Let me see my baby! Let me out,” she yelled repeatedly while pushing her way to the ring.
Woodley’s mom is a staple at his fights, where she’s known for her kind behavior to his past opponents including Darren Till and Kamaru Usman. She has been captured on video giving both fighters hugs and words of encouragement after bouts with her son.
Woodley, who replaced an injured Tommy Fury in Sunday’s bout against Paul, reflected on his sixth-round knockout in a post-fight press conference.
“I went back and I looked at it, I’m like, ‘Why the f—k did I drop my hand?’ I had both hands up, I knew it was coming, I was ready to block… I don’t know why I dropped my hand. In this sport, it can take only one mistake,” he said, noting that he’s “not done.”
Woodley said he wanted to prove that “he’s still here” after a “crazy run” in the UFC and strike force.
Paul’s victory came four months after he beat Woodley by split decision in August.
