The United States and the Netherlands are scoreless through Sunday’s first half of the Women’s World Cup Final.

It’s the first time all tournament that the U.S. hasn’t scored through the first 45 minutes, as the Americans recorded their first tally within the first 12 minutes of every other game.

The United States’ best chance came in the 27th minute off a corner kick from Megan Rapinoe. Making her return to the starting lineup, Rapinoe played the ball low and Julie Ertz got a hard foot on it but blasted it right into the arms of Netherlands goalkeeper Sari Van Veenedaal.

Despite five corner kicks, the U.S. couldn’t find the back of the net. Veenedaal spoiled several quality chances from the Americans.

Although the Americans have held 62 percent of the possession and outshot the Netherlands 5-1, it’s felt like a relatively even matchup. The Netherlands have posted just as many threatening opportunities as the U.S.

Netherlands midfielder Sherida Spitse was given a yellow card earlier in the half before the USA’s Abby Dahlkemper earned one of her own closer to halftime.
