Rutgers continues to build on last season’s first bowl win in school history by scoring on the recruiting trail. The Scarlet Knights yesterday got a verbal commitment from highly regarded defensive lineman prospect Scott Vallone of Long Island power St. Anthony’s H.S.

Vallone chose Rutgers over Boston College, Virginia, Maryland and Syracuse.
