LA BELLA CHABELLA ran worst race of her life when she tried grass event in May. A little break ..a little dirt..a little drop in class and she should be very competitive here. Lone win managed while sprinting. CONCEALED has been very good debuting as 3YO this year. Has hit the board 5 of 6 and broke through in last as favorite. Faces winner today but back to back a real possibility. PROUD SIREN hasn’t won in 2 years. Did absolutely nothing as 3YO in ‘12 but has made marked improvement this campaign. In from Monmouth where she ran 3rd at 27-1. Price today as well.

CHILTON ran two turf sprints since May and is rounding into form. Showed a little more staying power running 3rd in last. Win? Soon. Today? Chance. HOPPY DO returns to turf where things have not gone well. Roared through stretch to grab 2nd sprinting on dirt in last. Offers great value off of that effort.

ASSURED VICTORY showed some talent sprinting on grass in last two. Returns to dirt mile here and picks up Castellano. Should be just off pace parked outside. DAN AND SHEILA had a rough trip running exact same conditions and settling for 2nd in latest. Bumper cars. Can certainly move forward here. Saez will know where top pick is and vice versa. FLATOUT ROYAL almost came to a complete stop running grass on 4th of July. Returns to surface and distance where he registered a win and a 3rd over his less than stellar career. Line should be “flatout” huge.

Confident pick here running a 1/16th longer. PURE AMOUR is in a good groove. Brings 2 race win streak running these conditions and stays the course. Top pick should be chasing her late. SILVER PRIZE Wasn’t so long ago this longshot missed by a head running at this level. Has not seen the green since November. Change is good.

STOP SIGN seized the lead in career debut and held well until deep stretch. Moves down the ladder but stretches a 1/2 furlong as well. Lead not as easily accessible from outside post today. TAIL RISK put in tired effort falling through the pack in April. Fresh, but we’ll know today how he feels about the extra furlong.

BALANCE THE BOOKS Derby dream died when he was never a serious factor in Bluegrass. Fresh start today as he moves back to grass where he enjoyed great success as 2YO winning 2 stakes and was a hard charging 3rd in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. Both victories came at this distance. NOBLE TUNE Multiple stakes winner is 4 for 6 on the lawn including a win in the grade 2 American Turf at Churchill. Comes off career low missing the board 1st time at the Penn Mile though. Good spot to rebound. JOHA was the winner of the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity last year. Has run with some of best turf horses in the country with not much to show for it. Tries again today at great value.

POISED TO A TEE is only in the lineup if we’re off the turf. Has finished in the money nine straight now and counting. Sloppy does not slow him down either. FLY RIDE has got a real chance. Run 1st and 2nd with these claimers last two and is proven at distance.

TWILIGHT ECLIPSE The Man O War has always begged for endurance and this gelding has it. Has won two grade 2’s at 1 1/2 miles including a the Pan American at Gulfstream. Comes off poor showing in Manhattan losing to Point Of Entry. BOISTEROUS is a little older and more seasoned than top pick. Another that is not afraid to go long. Has been running thru grade 2 and 3’s with great success for years now. Scored on Monmouth lawn in June. Always ready. AL KHALI Top two are great but if you want to take a shot Al may have another big race left in the tank. Runner up in two Grade 1’s last year at monster routes.

UNBRIDLED BAND came around in last running this condition and crossing wire 3rd. Gelding has never threatened down stretch in all events. A threat here with these. BALLYMURPHY almost got there in 2nd career start when he was a length short running today’s distance. Should be short price off of that effort. FREIGHT showed a little speed in 1st turf start but wilted late. Stretches a bit but may have needed last to progress.
