Hackley’s perfect season had the perfect ending.
Alexandra Mueller’s jumper from the left side barely beat the clock and gave the Hornets a heart-pounding 35-33 win over Ivy League rival Poly Prep in the NYSAISAA Class C girls basketball title game at Fieldston on Sunday. It was her only two points of the game. Hackley finishes the year 23-0 and erases the memory of last year’s loss in the final.
