Danish golfer Thomas Bjorn hit a hole-in-one early this morning, but it wasn’t the kind he’d hoped for.

Hitting his second shot from the rough on hole 1 of The British Open, Bjorn whacked his ball straight into the scope of a low lying video camera. The shot cracked the ESPN camera’s lens, an occurrence that rarely happens in golf.

Commentator Mike Tirico said the camera cost $80,000 once the splintered picture came into focus. “That is an $80,000 bill headed to Denmark,” mused Tirico.

Bjorn eventually double-bogeyed the hole and finished his first round 2 over par.
